What effect did 9/11 and the war in Iraq have on the Millennial Generation?

I don’t think it had much effect at all, simply because they were mostly children when it all started. Terrorism and the Iraq war have just been background noise to them. When I was a kid in the Sixties, I kept hearing “Vietnam” and “Viet Cong” coming from the TV when my parents watched the news and I didn’t know what it was, but I also didn’t really care. I remember soldiers from town getting killed but I couldn’t relate to it at all. It wasn’t until I was well into adulthood that I started wondering what Vietnam was all about and did some reading on it. I think that like all the other generations before them, people of that age group see the political issues they’ve grown up with as their parents’ problems and they’ve got their own ideas about how the world should be run.
