The entire SET training program occurs under the guidance and direction of the surgical specialty into which candidates have been selected. Trainees clinical placements or rotations and assessments will be directly aligned with their career goals. Supervisors will carry out rigorous, early and comprehensive work-place assessment of competence. The emphasis in SET is on competency-based training and assessment.
