The benefits would be substantial and numerous. Roanoke Valley residents would be able to enjoy the mountain with dining, social and organizational events, and as a tool to showcase and sell the valleys natural beauty and attractiveness to visitors. Business and government leaders would be shown the valley from its most impressive perspective and make an extraordinarily positive impression. Lastly, the long-sought, but largely unrealized, economic benefits of Parkway tourism could be harnessed and leveraged into tourism spending at Explore Park, area restaurants, shops, and Valley businesses. The Inn would become a well-known, regional destination.
