What eats a Llama?
The females are used for their flesh, which tastes somewhat like mutton, and for their milk which tastes somewhat like human milk. The meat of the males is tough and rarely eaten. They have red meat. Man is their natural enemy. Any animal or mammal that eats red meat can eat a Llama, but man is the primary food chain. Llamas were also used by the ancient Inca civilization in South America. Archeological evidence indicates that they have been domesticated from the wild guanaco approximately 5,000 years ago. Many llamas and alpacas were sacrificed to the gods every year by the Incan culture. The meat would then be distributed to the crowds. Llamas are still used today by the indigenous peoples of South America for packing and transporting goods, fibers, and for meat.
