What Eat Hyenas?!

Lions (males) and crocodiles are the only carnivorous (meat-eating) animals tough enough and brave enough to kill a hyena that I know of, other than another hyena. I don’t know if a hyena would eat another hyena. The lion would definitely eat it unless it was already full from another meal. Lions don’t hunt hyenas, but they do hate them, therefore, kill them from time to time. Most anything that eats meat that happened upon one already dead would probably eat it, unless it smelled of disease, in which case, only the bugs (flies & maggots, ants, etc.) would eat it. Almost nothing goes to waste in nature. Whether any animal (including bugs) ate it or not, eventually the nutrients from its decaying body would go into the ground and feed the plant life growing there.
