What DVD region codes and NTSC/PAL designations apply to each specific areas?
0 No DVD region code, can be played in all DVD players 1 USA, Canada 2 Europe, Middle East, Japan, South Africa 3 S.Korea, Taiwan, HK, ASEAN 4 Australia, NZ, Latin America 5 Ex-Soviets, Indian sub-continent, Africa 6 China 7 Reserved 8 International territory (airplanes, cruise ships, etc.) It is hard to say which TV formats are in which region, because they are scattered around the world. Although they are for the most part in specific areas, NTSC tends to be in the North American region, as PAL tends to be in the more European areas. Asia is mixed between PAL/NTSC.
