What drug are these parents on that give their 10 year olds credit cards?
My sister is 11 and she has a “credit card”. For Christmas we got pre-paid Visa’s with $100 on it. The catch was we couldn’t go over it otherwise the cashier would tell us. Are you sure it wasn’t one of those? All I can say, if it wasn’t, is WOW. Why would a parent even trust their child that young with that much money. Most kids that age don’t understand how to save and spend money well. And shopping at Hollister? Hollister doesn’t even advertise to kids that young. Their age range is 13-24. When I was 10 my clothes came mostly from J.C. Penny’s in the mall or Kohl’s outside of the mall. And I was always shopping with an adult. I had no cell phone nor a designer purse. I don’t even understand kids these days. Peace, Love, & Happiness.
Oh wow. Walking around the mall alone has never really been a problem for me, because I almost always just stick with one of my brothers, so I’ve been walking around the mall without parents for a long time, but still, the credit card thing is absolutely ridiculous. But I think we’re missing the HUGE point here, why are 10 year olds shopping in Hollister in the first place! When I was 10, my clothes came from JC Penny, Limited Too, Sears, Foreman Mills, etc. Not Hollister, I wasn’t even attracted to Hollister stuff back then. I’m 17, and I’m still not. Wow, and then the credit card just tops it all off. I guess Mom’s going to get a reality check when she gets her credit card bill back at the end of the month! Kids are growing up way too fast. I’m a kid, but geez. 10 year olds with cell phones, and credit cards, and makeup, and bikinis, and having sex and whatnot… sickening.
