What domain management is available?
The BT.com/domains offers a “domain maintenance” screen which can be reached via the right hand navigation of the Your Account area once you’ve logged on. Domain maintenance is available as both a basic set of tools and a more advanced version. The default for new domains is set by default to the basic setting screen which allows customers to simply manage email and web forwarding. For customers with experience of DNS BT.com/domains also offers non-hosting domains full zone file management facilities. To access the full zone management screens you need to change your preferences in the “edit account” screen. Here you will be given the option to change from “basic” to “advanced” management screens. If you select “advanced” your “domain maintenance” page will change to offer full Zone file management. These screens allow users to set up subdomains, such as www.sales.mydomain.com and point their domains at specific servers.
