XLink/Win has some basic data management functions, but it is not intended to be a complete Personal Information Manager (PIM) such as Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Organizer. It does not have the extensive calendar and address book functions of the PIM programs. Its primary purpose is to exchange data between your handheld electronic organizer and other PC programs such as the PIM you normally prefer to use. XLink/Win is also not intended to be a full database program like Access or spreadsheet program like Excel or a word processor like Word, although it can store and retrieve data in an Access database and it can cut and paste data between its own tables and an Excel spreadsheet or a Word document. You will find that XLink/Win works best when you use its ability to easily transfer organizer data to and from these other programs which provide more specialized functions.
