What does X+S mean on Table 8.2 Ranged Combat Weapons?
X+S stands for Extreme “+” Step. For Extreme range, the modifier is “+2 per increment past long range” and the weapon ranges list the increment size as the final range category. For example: +30 means that for every 30 yards past the ‘L’ range, the TN of the Ranged Combat test is increased by a cumulative +2 modifier.
