What does XPDT/XSDT treat best?
A pre-condition for successful treatment is that the patient should be in generally good health. Also, the cancer should not have seriously damaged vital structures and organs. It is important not to wait too long before seeking out this therapy or some other form of therapy. XPDT/XSDT has a slower tumor killing effect (surgery is fast), and we can expect it to work best when there is less cancer present, or when the cancer present as a large number of small tumors rather than as a small number of large tumors. XPDT is less effective with large, dense tumors, because blood circulation inside the tumor is poor, and it is difficult to get the sensitizer to the deep cancerous cells. In the case where there are larger tumors, it is suggested that these tumors be removed or at least debulked surgically.
