What does wifi mean is it just like any home wireless internet?
Wi-Fi is a term uses for wireless fidelity. It means that public places (called hotspots) offers wireless internet to anyone who has a mobile device, laptop, or pda. Some public hotspots that offer Wi-Fi will charge you by the hour, or day usage. Some will provide free internet depending on the location. Some Wi-Fi hotspots include coffee shops, restaurants, airports, hotels etc. You can also set up Wi-Fi in your house using your computer setup. You will need dsl or cable internet and a router. Once you have this setup your ipod touch will be able to use wi-fi to access the internet anywhere throughout your house wirelessly without any fees. Your ipod touch will also work any at public Wi-Fi location. Make sure that they don’t charge you by the hour or day usage. Find a location that offers free Wi-Fi internet access instead.
