What does “waitlist” status mean?

Waitlist means that you are not officially booked into a course, so you cannot attend the course unless you receive a booking confirmation email. If you are the first person on the waitlist in a course and someone else cancels out of the course prior to the Start Date, then you may receive email notification that you are booked into the course. If you do not receive this booking confirmation email notification, then you are not registered in the course and should not attend without permission. You will not be on the sign-in sheet and walk-ins are not permitted.
