What does Visual RPG Express use for Host communications?

Visual RPG Express currently uses File Transfer Protocol (FTP) for all host communications. We use a custom written Windows Sockets FTP client that allows file transfers and host commands to be performed. To use this product, the target AS/400 or iSeries system must have the FTP Server running. See the FAQ “Host do I start the FTP Server” for more information on starting the FTP server on your AS/400 or iSeries system.
