What does VIP Status mean at a Marriott Hotel?
I have been a Platinum VIP member of Marriott Hotels for many years. Upgraded to a suite, free of charge [if available]. Cue jealous stares from the boss who is in a standard room….he he. It usually means a single phone call takes care of the booking, not having to give the credit card over the phone, limo booked to get you from the airport, met at the hotel by the manager opening the limo door, and you go straight to your room – where the manager ‘checks you in’ via the phone in the room whilst you relax and unpack with your complimentary food, fruit etc. And you will have access to the evening-time exec lounge [basically free alcohol – as much as you like, with all the other execs]. I’m down to ‘just’ Gold membership now, but I still get some free perks, but nothing like Platinum / VIP. Enjoy!
