A1. The term Business Intelligence can mean different things to different audiences. VEAP is defining it as the capabilities that transform data into meaningful, actionable information. From VEAPs perspective, Business Intelligence will initially focus on reporting, ad-hoc querying, analysis, visualization, ETL (extract, transform & load), alerting/notification, dashboard and scorecard capabilities. VEAP plans to coordinate in other areas which affect Business Intelligence, such as data management.
