What does “upload” or “download” of files mean?
When you move files from your computer to a web server, for example, you are actually “uploading” them. And, the reverse is true as well. When moving files from your web server to your computer, you are, essentially, “downloading” them. These terms, upload and download, are often used to describe file transfer operations when using FTP programs.
