What does Umoja offer?
Umoja connects students to a variety of resources and activities that encourage and enhance student success. They include: • referrals to a student and academic support services, such as Counseling and Advisement, the Career/Transfer Center, and Financial Aid and Scholarships • academic support through study groups, tutoring and Learning Communities • information about cultural and historical tours of the nation’s HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) • faculty and staff mentors who support, encourage, and assist students in achieving academic success • special events and celebrations, featuring motivational speakers that are designed to inspire and motivate What are the program requirements? The Umoja Program is open to all Citrus College students who are enrolled in a minimum of six (6) units.
