What does tRNA do and how does it combine with the mRNA during translation?
tRNA carries amino acids to the binding site on a ribosome during the translation process. mRNA attaches to the small subunit of the ribosome. tRNA with the anticodon that is currently corresponing to the mRNA codon with attach to the A site of the ribosome, then translocate over to the P site, where the amino acid is attached to the growing peptide chain. the tRNA then leaves the amino acid on the peptide chain and starts floating around again.
