What does tracking mode in S40 Maps mean?

0

Tracking mode in S40 Maps means that you simulate a route and simultaneously start to track your current position via GPS. To use the tracking mode, on the map view, select Options > Start Tracking. Consider that you will need a valid navigation licence to use tracking functionality in S40 Maps. Normal tracking functionality (which follows your GPS position on the map while moving around) works without a license. Note that the map will not automatically move with your GPS position. It is also recommended to turn lights setting into Always on in Maps. Otherwise the screen of your handset will cease to illuminate after a few moments. To turn light setting into Always on, select Options > Settings > General settings > Lights.
