What does the word Gemi mean?
In Latin and Greek, Geämi means “earth (ge) friend (ami).” As you can see, our name reflects our commitment to providing you with a sustainable protective packaging material. Geämi is made from a renewably sourced raw material – paper – and NOT plastic or polystyrene made from oil, which as you know is non-renewable. Additionally, Geämi is 100% recyclable and because only non-toxic, water based inks are used to print our interleaf, it is also 100% compostable. Finally, we offer two types of Geämi paper – one that contains recycled content and one made from paper fibers sourced from third party certified sustainably managed forests.
