Most colours of agate are white, red, green and orange. It mostly has circular shapes. It is basically quartz and a type of silica. The agate is quite hard and has the ability to be immune to acids. Pins, paper knives, brooches and other variety of things are made out of agate. It is old belief that the agate helps in recuperating the stings of a scorpion and snake bites. It is also believed that it brings victory over enemies. Some of the agates incorporate banded agate, Mexican agate and Botswana agate.
