What does the WebBot ActiveX Control do?
The WebBot ActiveX control has been designed to simplify automated HTTP/HTML operations. Acting as a programmatic browser. Applications can create a WebBot WebPage object and have it retrieve an HTML page from the web. The WebPage object model then provides programmatic access to the page’s contents, preparsed into convenient collections of Links As WebPages (for links to HTML internal to the page’s site) ExternalLinks As WebPages, Images, Forms, EMailAddresses, …. The control also supports post and put and get actions so it can be used to create a wide variety of data mining, and spidering applications.
