What does the Urantia Book say about the existence of so many religions?
The book says that religions emerged out of the need for the individual to socialize and share their personal spiritual experience with others. While the religions were inevitable and do play an important role, they must come to recognize that individuals interpret religion uniquely based upon their own unique personality and inner experience of God. Again, it states that all contain truth which can contribute to the core beliefs of the other religions. Furthermore, the book explains that only when the religions transfer spiritual sovereignty to the First Cause, or Creator of all that exists, will they experience peace among them.
