What does the unit Lux?reflect the characteristic of a video camera?
Lux?is the SI unit of illuminance. It is a common unit in the specification of surveillance camera. Its value represents the sensitivity of the camera in low-light condition. A good surveillance camera with high sensitivity usually has a low Lux value. If an IR camera is installed, with the aid of IR illumination, the camera can even remain sensitive under the environment with 0.0 Lux of light for security purpose.
