• USHIP pays 100% of the visit under the Preventative Care benefit when performed at the UCSC Student Health Center. Services that may be included under this benefit are lab tests & some immunizations. Certain immunizations are covered 100% under the preventative benefit; other immunizations which are not covered under preventative care, are subject to the $200 deductible, and may then be covered (depending on the immunization) at 90%, with patient responsibility for 10%. • The Health Clearance fee of $20 is NOT covered by USHIP. • Certain prescriptions will be covered under the USHIP pharmacy benefit through the end of your USHIP plan. A month’s supply of generic medications cost $5 and brand name medications cost $25. Any remaining medications can be sold to you at full price. • The SHC pharmacy also sells many over the counter travel products including insect repellent.
