What does the Threshold command do?
The Threshold command allows you to split up an audio document into its component parts, based on a threshold amplitude you select. For instance, you might use the Threshold command to split up successive notes from a musical instrument, or to “recycle” component parts of a drum loop. After the Threshold command analyzes the amplitude levels in the audio document, you can drag the indicator left or right to set the threshold amplitude. This causes new markers to appear and disappear, forming regions which can be exported individually or pasted together in a different order. Note that the Threshold command can be used with a mono or stereo file.
