What does the term “Pedagogy” mean?
Perhaps the most literal definition is the science of teaching. Other good definitions include the study of the methods and activities of teaching, as well as the art or profession of teaching. In music the term pedagogy is also commonly used in reference to the methods of teaching music to students in a one-to-one setting (rather than teaching music in a classroom setting).
