‘Pedagogy’ is the term commonly used to describe the art and science of teaching. Pedagogy can be seen in the activity that takes place in classrooms or other educational settings and in the nature of the learning and assessment tasks set by teachers. Pedagogy recognises that how teachers teach and assess is inseparable from what they teach and assess, who their students are and how students learn.
