What does the term “Open Access” mean in relation to the Admission process at UCC?
Dr. Brown: Union County College is an open access institution, however, all prospective students must take a placement test in English and Mathematics, or otherwise meet placement standards in those subjects. This allows the College to identify students who may experience difficulties with college-level coursework and make sure that they begin their college experience enrolled in courses that will assist them in developing the necessary skills to succeed.
