Microspinoscopy is the science of minimally invasive spinal surgery which is defined as an incision of less than one inch. It can be as simple as an endoscopic discectomy or as complex as an endoscopic laminoforaminoplasty with partial corpectomy. Microspinoscopy involves any aspect of minimally invasive spine surgery that utilizes arthroscopic (endoscopic) techniques. A microspinoscopist is someone who specializes in these techniques.
