What does the term conveyancing mean?
Conveyancing is the quasi-legal process of transferring ownership of a property from one person to another. There really isn’t too much to it except to say that solicitors like to propogate the idea that conveyancing is some kind of dark art shrouded in mystery. My suspicion is that this is done ina bid to try to justify their high fees.
At it’s core the conveyancing process is there to make sure the purchaser is aware of all the legal rights that may reside over a piece of land or real estate property
