What does the telemedicine presenter do?
A skilled telemedicine presenter is critical to the successful conduct of a telemedicine consultation. This person is the extended “eyes and ears” of the specialist at the other end of the connection during live, interactive consults. When the store-and-forward consults are used, this person is the one who is responsible for capturing the digital images or other information forms as well as the necessary clinical information to forward to the specialist. They must be familiar with the operational protocols (Protocol Module – Coming Soon), be skilled in clinical interactions with patients and be able to operate all the equipment used.
