What does the Teenage Pregnancy Co-ordinator do?
The Teenage Pregnancy Co-ordinator`s role is to ensure that local agencies/services with differing agendas pool their skills and resources to meet both national and local targets set by the Teenage Pregnancy Unit. The Teenage Pregnancy Unit has a national strategy, which aims to reduce the conception rate and to increase the numbers of teenage mums into education and training. The strategy has two key elements: Prevention and Support.
