What does the sun sublime symbol mean? Does it stand for something?
The symbol comes off a CD cover from the band Sublime, “40 oz. to Freedom” released in 1992. The band were heavily into drugs and drinking tequila and I think the mouth is a tequila worm. Opie Ortiz is the tattoo artist who created the Sublime Sun design. I think, like all artwork, that it is up to the viewer to decide what it means, though to me it has heavy drug influence.
