What does the State of Arkansas require for a motorcycle endorsement?
Two things are required 1.) Ten question written test. 2.) Practical riding test OR completion a rider safety course. The written test is required to obtain a 60 day learner permit to practice riding skills (the riding portion of the test can be taken later on the same day as the written test but a motorcycle may not be ridden to the testing site to take the written portion of the test). When the riding test is taken the applicant must show proof of insurance and registration. >back to top How does completing the Basic Rider Course or Experienced Rider Course aid in getting a motorcycle endorsement on my Arkansas Drivers License? Successful completion of either course waives the practical riding portion of the licensing process; however the ten question written test is still required. This makes it possible to obtain a motorcycle endorsement on your license without actually owning a motorcycle. >back to top Does completing a course entitle me to a discount on my insurance premium?
