Sirius represents the Dog God of Egypt, Anubis. This is the reason why Sirius is also know as the dog star. Sirius is the most evil star in Ancient Egypt. The star, Sirius, is represented in EVERY Masonic lodge by the 5-pointed star. The name, Blazing Star, was given to Sirius, and is also the name of the 5-pointed star in Freemasonry. Albert Pike wrote about the Blazing Star: “The sun and moon … represent the two grand principles … the male and the female … both shed their light upon their offspring, the blazing star, or Horus.” Morals & Dogma, pp. 13-14 The dog star, Sirius, also became known as the Eastern Star.
