The sperm whales main source of food is deep water squid, it also feeds on fish, octopus, and other small sea creatures. A sperm whale can consume a ton (907 kg) of food each day. The lower jaw contains 18-25 large teeth on each side of the jaw, each tooth is 3-8 inches in length.
