WHAT DOES THE SOCIETY OF CONSTRUCTION LAW (GULF) DO?
Holds meetings, lectures and other events; publishes papers given to the Society; and generally promotes interest in construction law in the UAE. HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN IN EXISTENCE? The Society was formed in 2006, and is affiliated with the Society of Construction Law in the UK , which was formed in 1983 and has nearly 2000 members. WHO RUNS IT AND WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE? A committee of 10 members. The members of the current committee are identified below. WHEN DOES IT MEET? The Society aims to hold events at least quarterly, generally in Dubai. These will generally consist of one or more prominent speakers on current topics, together with an interactive session often involving a panel of invited participants. Members are actively encouraged to suggest topics for future meetings, so that the Society is always focussing on the needs and interests of its members. DOES IT PUBLISH ANYTHING? Papers from the Society’s events are published on the website and are available to members. ARE THERE
