What does the Slalom Switch do?

0

The Slalom Switch is the same device that also serves as the Jump Switch. The difference is that the rope is doubled so that it takes twice as much pull to activate the switch in slalom over jumping. Who said slalom skiers don’t pull hard! The switch is activated when the skier is right behind the boat. This adds a slight amount of RPM to the engine to boost the skier wide. As soon as the skier gets to the preturn, the switch de-activates and the skier is completely free of the boat. The net result is wide, early, and very soft.
