What does the Sidechain do?
The sidechain is the section of the compressor that detects transients in the signal, and generates a voltage to change the volume of the main signal. By default the sidechain uses the same signal that is being compressed (internal), but another signal (external) can be used by enabling the external sidechain in button and routing audio in your host to the second set of inputs the plugin has.
