What does the Residence Life Coordinator and Resident Assistants do?
Resident assistants (RAs) promote interaction among residents on their floors and within the campus community, and encourage an appreciation of diversity among residents. RAs serve as role models, and resources. They also meet with students and assist in enforcing university policies. The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is a part of the professional staff of the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The RLC lives on site and supervises the RAs. The RLC serves to promote a residential living environment that fosters academics and personal growth in a caring, diverse, safe, clean, and well-maintained community.
