What does the Related Significant Financial Interest in Research and Scholarly Activity policy require?
This policy requires that investigators disclose financial interests held by themselves, their spouse and dependent children that are both (1) significant and (2) related to their research. Disclosures are made by use of the Investigator’s Statement of Related Significant Financial Interest for Sponsored Projects form, and sent to the Office of Sponsored Programs on an annual basis and when new significant financial interests are acquired. All investigators in a project must indicate whether or not they have any related significant financial interests prior to the University’s acceptance of an award.
