What does the recession mean for fashion right now?
Clinton: For too long, Americans have been obsessed with quantity over quality. It’s all about having a closet full of junk. I think that Americans, style-wise, need to put on the brakes, reassess how they’ve been dressing, realize that junk is junk and they should have fewer pieces that are better quality and just wear them more often. That’s what I hope will happen. Stacy: It’s a fantastic opportunity for the consumer because everything is on sale, but it’s a really fantastic opportunity for the industry in terms of innovation.
