What does the posting error “Inconsistent Shipping Parameters” mean?

This posting error is usually caused by a relist attempt for an auction. Usually this error means that the eBay checkout shipping cost options in the original ad have since been updated or changed from the original settings. When an item is relisted, eBay compares the options from the original auction to the options that are submitted with the relist. If the shipping cost settings in the current ad do not match what was originally posted then eBay will return this posting error. This posting error will usually state either “inconsistent shipping parameters” or “inconsistent shipping locations” in the Long Message depending on which options did not match up.
