What does the Physical Impairment Team do?
In deciding who we are able to support we must refer to the eligibility criteria, set by the Department of Health. The support we can provide to people who meet the eligibility criteria is varied and this is discussed and agreed on an individual basis. It may include things such as a direct payment, specialist support, skills training or equipment. Anyone who receives support from the team will be required to complete a financial assessment to determine how much they will need to contribute towards the costs. For those who do not meet our eligibility criteria we provide information to direct them to the most appropriate alternative services.
