What does the peru flag mean?
The flag is red, white and red (like the Canadian flag but without the maple leaf). Red is for the blood spilled in search of freedom and white for the pure peace that the army of liberation was seeking after freedom was achieved. The coat of arms, which all official flags carry, has a vicuña (kindda like a llama, but smaller and with a more expensive wool than alpaca or llamas), the quinine tree (from where the cure for malaria was extracted) and the horn of plenty.
