What does the Pakistan election results mean for American war on terror and George Bush?
America may have won in Kosovo, but the Pakistani election does not look that great for the super powers determination against the war on terror. Americas biggest problem is that PPP (Benazir Bhuttos Party) could not win a landslide and as a matter of fact most likely PM could be Nawaz Sharif. The results could have far-reaching implications for the U.S.-led war on terror, especially Pakistani military operations against al-Qaida and Taliban-style militants in border areas of the Northwest. Sharif and others have called for dialogue with the extremists and have criticized military operations in the area because of their impact on civilians.
