What does the Optics Kit do?

0

The bubble of media on the well creates optical distortion when examining the cells with an inverted microscope. The Optics Kit effectively allows the creation of a vertical column of media to stand in the well, while causing the upper and lower surfaces of the media to be flat and in the same plane (essentially making a “cylinder” of media). The Optics Kit is reusable and affords excellent visual, online evaluation of the migrating cells. For experiments with a single endpoint after the cells have migrated, there is no need to use an Optics Kit.
