What does the NGRC do to protect the public against fraud?
NGRC rules, which have been in force for 79 years, are devised to protect the gambling public. The local stewards can take samples from any greyhound that runs outside its form. All greyhounds are checked twice prior to racing to guarantee their identity. In the region of 10,000 samples are taken each year for drug testing. This is more than any other sporting organisation. Stewards review all race results.
